The first Japanese woman to climb Mt Everest, from the more treacherous northern side of the mountain, taped a tube of Yu-Be to a shoelace and wore it around her neck as she made her ascent to the top. If it's good enough for her, it's good enough for me.
This is a concentrated moisturiser which you can use on your face, lips, and any other part of the body. I first tried it earlier this year, when my lips and hands were completely parched from the winter. (For some reason, the areas around the bottom of my fingers and between my fingers get the most red, cracked, and dry.) It's non-greasy, absorbs quickly, and comes in a slightly less cute container than Bag Balm does (but has a less icky texture).
You can buy Yu-Be online from Doe, one of the stores owned by James Kim and his wife Kati. If you're looking for a way to support Kati and her daughters after the tragic death of James, this would be an excellent way to do so.
