Juice Beauty Lip Plumper redux

Juicelipplumper_2 After using the stuff religiously for the last couple of months, I can say without hesitation that Juice Beauty Lip Plumper is by far the best lip balm I have ever tried. It's smooth not sticky, doesn't coat my lips or create a disgusting secondary skin of balm on them, absorbs at a good rate (no lip balm on my pillowcase after applying it when I get into bed), and tastes like lemon icing. I got the oddly named Lip Plumper as a freebie from a PR, but this is one I'll definitely be shelling out for when my current supply is depleted. Thanks, Juice Beauty!

Juice Beauty Lip Plumper

Juicelipplumper_1 I'm very much over the whole 'make your lips look like you've injected them full of ass fat' thing. I have yet to use a lip plumper which actually worked, though I have not expected them to, even before my first ill-fated experience with such products. (That was with the Joey New York Super Duper Lips Kit, a birthday present from my friend Karri more than five years ago. Let's just say that I'm sorry she wasted her money on it.)

That said, I'm loving Juice Beauty Lip Plumper - not because it is making my lips look unnaturally large (it is not), but because it goes on smooth, has a fresh citrus taste, and does not sting. It's an emollient slick rather than a gloss (did I mention that I'm also over gloss? I'm SO over gloss.). Lip Plumper could use a new name, though, as I am sure its current moniker will no doubt mislead many women into a purchase which does not meet their expectations of a Juicy Tube-esque product.

If you're into colour and sun protection with your drenched lips, the Juice Beauty SPF 15 Tinted Lip Moisturizers look worth trying, too.
