Cacharel Promesse: Quickie Reviews

The nice thing about buying cosmetics in France is that shops like Marionnaud tend to give you a bagful of samples to take home with you. I got several perfume samples from that shop last weekend while I was there, and the only one that made any impression on me was Cacharel's Promesse. It's slightly spicy and pretty, without being cloying or fruity or headachey.

I'm still in search of a perfume that smells like the inside of a perfume shop. Best. Smell. Ever.

About

  • What do you get when you throw a true beauty obsessive in Europe together with a veteran beauty journalist in LA? Not much room on the bathroom shelves, that's for sure. Make-up, hair products, skincare, perfume, salons, spas, luxury hotels with toiletries and treatments that make us never want to go home - if we've left anything out, you can pry our mirrors from our cold, dead, perfectly manicured hands.
