Axe Snake Peel Shower Scrub

Axe I know, I know; it's for men, and the ads are so stupid that they cannot help but offend. I mean, I may as well be recommending Drakaar Noir. Be that as it may, I used a sample packet of Axe Snake Peel Shower Scrub when I ran out of my normal shower gel in Paris, and it is quite nice. It is meant to have 'desert minerals' (whatever those are) and cactus oil, but what I like is the fresh, citrus, slightly spicy scent. It is also exfoliating, with little blue beads to slough off dead skin (hence the name? Lord knows.).

Axe is the US version of the Unilever brand known as Lynx in the UK. I'm not sure if they do the Snake Peel Shower Scrub for Lynx, so I bought a bottle of it at Walgreens as soon as I landed - with a coupon, one of the other delights of shopping in America...

About

  • What do you get when you throw a true beauty obsessive in Europe together with a veteran beauty journalist in LA? Not much room on the bathroom shelves, that's for sure. Make-up, hair products, skincare, perfume, salons, spas, luxury hotels with toiletries and treatments that make us never want to go home - if we've left anything out, you can pry our mirrors from our cold, dead, perfectly manicured hands.
