What's your go-to lip color?
Mine is MAC Mattene in Composure: It's not too dry, doesn't slip off easily, smells good, and most importantly offers full-on color that somehow still manages to look somewhat natural. It goes great with no makeup or, as in this photo, just blush and mascara. (I should also note that I did not pay for this - it was a freebie from MAC - but I will happily do so once I've spent this stick.)
How about you?
How about you?

Jackie -
Delurking here to tell you how much I like your blog. It's entertaining and fun. And you have great eyebrows!
I read about the MAC lipstick and it made me think of Lipstick Queen. I just found these lipsticks about a month ago and I love them. One style, the "sinners", contains 80% pigment and the other "the saints" is only 20% pigmented.
The pigmented colors - especially Sinner Pink - are all I wear now. They're not greasy, they stay on a long time and they're pretty and natural-looking. Check them out.
Maybe you already have, then I'll be, like, "Oops. Nevermind!"
Love the blog, serioiusly.

Lately all I have been using is MAC's Ample Pink Plushgloss.

I love that color, I'll have to try it sometime. I've almost given up on MAC, nothing in particular, just sick of the same old same old but this is tempting...

My fave for the past 2 years is MAC Glaze in Hot Tahiti. It's a little sheer so it doesn't look too made up, but give you a really great red lip. Actually it looks a bit like a sheer version of your photo. I can't live without it!

My absolute favorite is Dior Addict Lunar Brun, a pinky nude. At $25 a tube it's a bit on the expensive side, but I feel it really suits my complexion, matches any clothing color, and can be worn casually or dressed up (and in truth, I don't own tons of lipsticks that I wear only once or twice).

Default, look-good-with-anything lippies: Stila's High Shine in Electra, Trucco's Stained, NARS' Vera Cruz and Gipsy, Kevyn Aucoin's Dantique, and MAC's Viva Glam VI.

My new favourite is Bourjois Rouge Hi-Tech, which is more like a lip stain than lipstick. It's fab - it lasts all day, and the rose pixel colour is perfect for me.

Delurking to add: Cheap but my fave is L'Oreal Colour Riche in Cashmere. Looks great with or without makeup, it's cheap and I love it!

I'm pretty nuts about MAC lovelorn at the moment. I've been using it pretty consistently for a while:-)

Another cheapie-but-goody: Revlon's Colorstay in Berry Reliable. It's bright but not too bright and works really well on my light olive skin.

Great blog.
My everyday lipstick is Chanel Fire. It is the perfect shade of red and never ceases to draw compliments and inquiries as to which shade it is. It just looks right on my skin tone. Lately I'm also wearing Chanel Dazzle, which is less matte in the Rouge Allure line and a little more orange-based red.
