What kind of blonde should I be?

3blondes

So, I've already pulled the trigger, and one of these is the actual color at the moment, but I 'm less than thrilled, and want to tweak it. Vote below for which of these looks you think the least un-flattering, and tell me why in the comments (or suggest an alternative).

Aside: I briefly toyed with the idea of a nice hunter green--I thought a composed, classic cut juxtaposed with a wild color would be super--but have been largely dissuaded, not least because I'm job hunting at the moment. Although truth is, I really only want to work for the kind of people who would think green hair is cool.

Hey! Maybe add some lowlights and/or highlights to your blond to break it up a bit and add some dimension? It might make you like the blond a bit more.

Have you considered Vanilla? And I completely agree with Jennifer add some tonal qualities to it. Otherwise my vote wouls be for the Platinum

Champagne! Strawberry not so good with your skin tone - looks a bit ruddy with it on my monitor - and the platinum is, dare I say it, a little ageing?

Exactly what Esme said. And I'd break it up too - two or three-tone is really cool and more accepted than you might think! I went two tone, streaky hair a couple of years back and never looked back. :)

My own moment of fame on Jack&Hill. :-P

champagne blonde.

the platinum makes you look older, while the strawberry is just too orangey.

personally though- i vote for the green :).

In the recent video your hair did look rather yellow. I'd add some cream highlights, try to tone down overall yellow-ness and perhaps cool the shade. I wouldn't recommend pure platinum or ash as more often than not on anyone over the age of 20 it suggests gray hair (at least that's what my hubby and his mates think). Also, try to have thicker flater, almost panel-like areas highlighted as the flimsy stringy ones again often look like gray hair. Cream and vanilla is the way to go with your complection. Good luck

I agree with the highlights/lowlights idea.

Would you be interested in going brunette just for fun instead?

The champagne photo is unretouched, and I'm struggling with the yellow. I had wanted platinum, but....

I think Medina is right--I had a true platinum in my early 30s and it was wonderful, but I'm too old now.... or not old enough yet. Sigh. Maybe some chunks like Adriana's--I am deliberately wanting an artificial look right now, something with drama and a sense of humor. But pretty... Too much to ask?

Susan, I have been brunette, for years at a time even. I have learned that it doesn't really suit me, I end up looking frumpy and ruddy.

The green I covet is on the sartorialist this week. I may repost that photo later today, in fact....

Whoa, girl, you look straight out of "Mad Men"! Fantastic!

I voted for the champagne, unsure of which color is the one you're currently sporting, even though I'm spending hours a day with you!

any golden-beige toned blonde would suit you.

platinum has the potential to wash you out, while strawberry brings out the ruddiness (even if it doesn't exist naturally)

I'd really go with Platinum. It looks very elegant and not at all aging (at least in this photo, in my opinion). The other two colours seem to make your skin look slightly reddish.

ok, if its drama you want, I would so go for the platinum! Maybe I am just partial to it cuz I have a few natural streaks in my hair, but I have always wanted to go all out platinum. I think it would make your eyes and lips just pop no matter what shades you wear and it gives it a sorta vintagey/artistic appearance. Besides, how many people these days do you see with the champagne and strawberry tones? Its so everyday! I just like to be a little different, and if I cant go all out and have a way different color (like the green...my choice in high school was fuschia) because of a job, go platinum! ..Just my opinion. ; )

I like the strawberry. It goes great with your features. You might like to highlight of streak it so it would look more natural. Adding tones make it look less like a helmet and more like you.
