Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat vs Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Agerewind_2I've used both, and I'm telling you, the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer does just as good a job. I use the yellow shade - the one at right is too pink for me - and I don't see any reason to look for another brightener.

You can get the Maybelline for under $4, though I got mine for one damn dollar at a dollar store. Touche Éclat retails for up to $40. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Hi! A bunch of us are doing awards for "you make my day" and I've just nominated you. Thanks for bringing us such great reads everyday!

I actually love the touche eclat. They market it as a concealer, but I use it as more of a brightner. If you have serious dark circles, the touche eclat is not for you, unless you use it with another concealer on the bottom. Kind of an unness. step for those who don't want to spend the extra money.
I've never tried the maybelline product though...maybe I'll give it a try!

Jennifer, I also use Touche Éclat as a brightener, not a concealer - that's why I said in my review, of the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind: "I don't see any reason to look for another brightener."

sorry...my bad. didn't have my morning coffee yet!

No problem! Definitely check out the Maybelline if you come across it.

That's a great bargain tip, I'll pick up some of some of that from Target while getting their eye makeup remover- cool!

hi, I have the touche eclat too, which i think is rather good but also really expensive. thanks for the advice on the maybelline product, i think i'll give it a try next time instead of spending so much on the YSL product!

I agree, a no brainer, buy the cheaper stuff when it's just as good as the $40 bottle. But for me I don't think I could ever completely switch over from Touche Eclat. There are days where I want to be feel... I don't know... I guess, expensive. On those days, it starts with the makeup and works it's way down. It may not be any better than the $4 Maybelline, but it makes me feel better!

Thanks for the tip! Now that I'm starting to get some dark shadows under my eyes it's good to know there are some inexpensive but good choices out there. Getting old not only sux, it's EXPENSIVE! :-)
