Mascara on lower lashes - definitely never, ever, ever! Not only does it look hideous, it plays havoc with contact lenses.

That's a pretty look. I personally don't think much about MAC mascaras but maybe the plush one will change my mind. I have however been very loyal to my fibrewig mascara for which I've written so many raves about. I can't wait until the N collection comes out here in Amsterdam because I see that they look very nice on you.

Grayburn

No, I'm with you. I never wear mascara on my bottom lashes either. It always ends up on my face, and I feel like I get enough definition by just applying it to my top lashes.

If I really want to play up my eyes I will wear mascara on my lower lashes--but only the clear kind!

I don't wear lower lash mascara, either. I've got very long lower lashes, and I'd look like a spider!

When I freelanced at MAC, we didn't think much of the mascara until ProLash came out. I like ProLongLash, but I usually end up buying Diorshow.

It hasn't occurred to me since... teenagerhood...(? yikes!) to NOT wear mascara on my lower lashes. And now you tell me I look hideous?!?
How depressing.
Though to be fair, mine are blondish and seem to grow in a way such that it does not end up on my face. Except maybe after sleeping in the mascara.

And while I really like how this stuff looks on your lashes above, I am inclined to blame your rather extraordinary lashes rather than the mascara... ahem.

Aw, s. I do have long lashes, but this means they look extra stupid if they get clumped. So I'm very grateful for the separating and thickening properties of this mascara.

Now, CLEAR mascara on lower lashes is a fab idea. I love the dramatic look of very long lashes on the bottom, but not the mess or resulting beadiness (I always worry about the smallness of my eyes). I have a feeling clear mascara would be more forgiving. Will try it.

so i was never a fan of mac mascara until zoomlash but even that i didn't love enough to stick to plus i tried lancome's definicils. BUT recently i was given mascara x and i love the intensity, the clump-free-ness and separation. it gives a boldness to your lashes a slight reflection if you will. i also wear mascara on my bottom lashes when the mood calls and it doesn't tend to relocate onto my skin unless of course i rub my eyes or fall asleep. my conclusion on this wearability is that i powder underneath my eyes which helps control any sort of oil reaching my mascara which i think ladies may be the culprit to the known lower lash mascara fiasco.
off to try diorshow blackout out of curiosity's sake but if it doesn't tickle my fancy i'm going back to mac's mascara X.

Great post! I am currently using Chanel's Initmitable mascara, but always keeping my eyes open for something better. I can't wait to try this..and I never use mascara on my lower lashes either.
Great Blog!

I wear mascara on the lower lashes as my lashes are quite thin there.

I recently changed my mascara from the Max Factor Masterpiece to Max Factor Volume Couture Mascara and it turned out to be a big mistake. Too much mascara sticks on the brush and my lashes regularly stick together. £9.99 for a lot of hassle! Never again.
