Hillary paid for hers; mine was free from MAC PR. She liked it for giving her spider lashes; I liked it for NOT giving me spider lashes (without a whole lot of wiping of the wand, either).
What sort of creeps me out is the black gunk I find floating around on my eyeballs and the inside of my eyelids after wearing this mascara. I assume this stuff is opthamologist tested, but still. Personal safety concerns aside, I can just imagine some hot guy (not that I ever meet any of those lately) gazing into my eyes and thinking, "Hmm...beautiful gunk."
