True vintage
I just found this photograph, from a newspaper in the 1960s, of my aunt on her wedding day. She died in 2000, and we weren't particularly close, but there is something exquisitely moving about this picture to me.
Enjoy being beautiful while you can, girls. You leave the beauty behind when you go.

Your aunt was beautiful. Even though you weren't close, I'm sure losing her leaves those questions and feelings of loss. What if? What if? Or maybe that's just because I was born guilty.
Beauty is an interesting thing, and I'm not sure you leave it behind, whether you mean by aging or dying. Sure, the kind of beauty I'm talking about isn't the kind that will get you noticed, but there is beauty in a life well lived. Then again, why am I spending all this money to erase the signs of living that well-lived life? (I stole my daughter's Differin cream.)

At first glance, I thought it was you! She's gorgeous :)

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your aunt looks beautiful in the photograph and there's a striking resemblance to the photos you post of yourself.
You're right, we don't get to take our beauty with us but I guess we're able to share our thoughts on it all in hopes the next generation sheds the insecurities we faced and enjoys their unique beauty for what it is instead of what it's not.

How cool to find something like that. Such a great picture, too :) (And love the scalloping on her dress's neckline, wish I could have found something cute like that back when I was wedding dress shopping!)
