Hair extensions
I have to say that my friend Kristie Wells looked amazing with her hair extensions on her wedding day (photo by Kris Krug). But I am also with Nadine Baggott in questioning the practicality and attractiveness of most extensions. Now that I've gone for the shorn look, I do yearn to have long hair again sometimes. That said, I cannot imagine that I could be arsed with the maintenance or with having bits glued to my head. I can barely even stand to have clips or a headband touch my noggin, let alone huge falls of some other person's dead cells.
How about you?

I just hand my extensions taken out - I had them in since February. I feel bald. I feel great with extensions. Plus mine were braided in with string and therefore not damaging. I hear the glue is really hard on your hair. My extensions are pricing but I think they are worth it. I'm getting more extensions (but longer) next week for MY wedding! Don't knock em till you try em.

My daughter just got her hair cut short, and she absolutely loves it (she's 11). We're both amazed how many styles she can do and how totally liberating not having to do styling is. Not even bunches or hairbands needed anymore!
She's even had bad dreams about her hair being long again and not having any scissors near, ha.
Extensions are so easy to spot now we're used to seeing them, I bet they're on their way out, along with all the other ridiculous stick-on assets whose day is so nearly over. (Even though Kristie shows how it should be done).

My sister had some extensions put in because her hair is so fine and the new cut wouldn't have looked so good without them but she wants them out again. She said you have to watch how you comb your hair and you can feel it when you sleep and it is really annoying.

Sorry, no extensions for me. There's nothing lovely and cleaner than a short and cute hair cut.

Alice, I don't agree with you at all. I think that extensions are getting better and, if anything, it is getting harder to tell if someone is wearing them.
Like with anything, badly applied ones can look pretty ropey, though!
