I woke up with an awful case of bedhead, having slept on wet hair, so used my straightening iron, then worked through some Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Volume Molding Creme (yikes, what a mouthful!), to make it look shaggier. I look a bit like a blonde Ramone, but I like it.
Then I got carried away and did something that I should never do, which is to attempt the smoky eye. While I love the hair and face here, I think the eye makeup, especially the smudges below, makes my eyes look high and my cheeks look looooong. It is just one of those looks that no work for me.
But damn, looking at this pic I realize how flattering the new MAC Tendertone lip balm is, which is funny because I was kind of disappointed when I opened it. It is very un-MAC-like stuff, light and subtle in texture and color. It truly is a balm, not a gloss. But I think it looks very nice, and it's easy to wear and won't make your kissing partners do that thing where they look like a dog eating peanut butter afterwards the way lip gloss does.

I think you look really nice and the eye makeup suits you. But go with what you think looks good and you'll be happy!

I LOVE the look! Do you think that you might have not liked the eye makeup because you weren't used to it? That's what happens to me everytime I try to do something new with my eyes and have only recently managed to wean myself off of putting eyeliner under my eyes. Anyway, the picture is quite nice - save it!

The lip balm looks great! Have you tried adding a deeper color on your cheeks when you attempt the smoky eye look? It might add balance.

Hillary, I'm laughing (at how ridiculously self-conscious we all can be). You look positively HOT!
Long cheeks? Are you nuts?
HOT!

I like the overall look, but the hair is still a little frizzy, it needed more strokes from the fat iron. The color that you used for the smoky eyes are gorgeous, but not for the morning, is more like a evening/night look in my opinion. Maybe a little bit more bronzer will be good. But you look amazing.
