Johnson & Johnson Holiday Skin
I really can't understand how 'celebrities' like 'Lady' Victoria Hervey, pictured last night at the London premiere of The Devil Wears Prada, can look in the mirror and think that skin the shade of burnt hot dog looks good. I have rarely seen fake tans which look even a little nicer than naturally pale skin.
That said, I liked the idea of Johnson & Johnson Holiday Skin - the idea being that it's just a moisturiser, but one that gradually gives you a subtle, tan-like glow. I know, I'm the last person on earth to discover this, people have been getting in bloody bidding wars for it on eBay, it's already changed millions of lives, and apparently saved one woman's life.
But I'm hear to testify: It's good stuff. It smells nice. It has yet to stain my hands (I use Bath & Body Works Cucumber Melon Hand Soap, which is pretty granular, post-application). It's made skirt-wearing a (mostly) apprehension-free experience this summer. It hasn't saved my life, but it's saved me some grief, and for that I am grateful.
Even better, my skin colour doesn't make me feel like I should be driving The Wienermobile around London. Can 'Lady' Victoria Hervey say the same?

Johnson & Johnson Holiday Skin is great although I noticed that if you use too much your skin will go a bit orange. The one that works best for me is the Garnier Summer Body Moisturising Lotion. It smells great, leaves your skin soft and gradually gives you a really nice golden tan.

The problem I've had with ALL self-tanners, no matter how gradual, is that when they start to wear off, my skin is blotchy...no matter what I'm using to moisturize with. After a while of using self tanners, my skin does get orangy, which is why I stop using them for a while..then the blotches appear!

She looks like she was raped by a giant carrot.

Oh, the heartbreak I've had with this stuff! I am very pale indeed, and seduced by the promise of putting on a product just like moisturiser, and having a lovely light tan with no streaking. However, I'm sad to report that, if you're very pale, this stuff streaks just like old-school fake tan.

Jergen's Natural Glow is much better than this product.

I am in the tanning lotion business and I think that she over did it. It looks like the case of a bad sunless tanning lotion.

She looks disgusting! Her forehead is horrible....wow....You would think people with money can at least get a decent tan....but nope.
There ARE products out there, but I don't think they are worth buying and spending time on just to get some color like everyone else. Women of all colors are beautiful.
