The Church of the Close Shave
My brother Din recently grew tired of negotiating his wife and daughter's toiletries in the master bath, and decamped to the downstairs bathroom, which he has converted into a shrine to the manly art of personal grooming. His shaving shelf, which displays his collection of brushes, tonics and the like--all of which he actually uses--reminds me of a Buddhist altar. If I had to pick one word to describe my brother's personality, it would be connoiseur: wine, cigars, coffee, and personal grooming products. What a great way to live.

That is too cool!

... and everything smells so good, especially Saint Charles Shave, New Spice for Men, and Eau de Quinne Compound Hair Tonic, by Ed. Pinaud, which is the color of pomegranate juice. The aromas are fantastic, not overtly masculine, but not feminine either; clean and spicy. I like the New Spice so much, Din has bought it for me in bar soap. And I do love it, though more love smelling it on him.

This guy has it going on....I bow down to Din!!
I would be interested to know in which of the new categories of male groomers he considers himself an 'ubersexual' or 'heteropolitan'. These have bothe replaced the term metro sexual.

Great taste in products, especially the brushes! Savile Row, Kent, Vulfix, and what I believe to be a Shavemac or two?
Nice shave den!

My husband is so into grooming now. He is addicted to Omega Badger Shaving Brushes, Merkur Classic Straight Razors, MaleFace Shave Care, Omega Shaving Cream. He takes up more space in the bthroom than I do but I love it!!
