Space NK Soulful just may be my very favourite perfume of all time. A couple of years ago, when I couldn't afford to buy myself new perfume just because I wanted it, I used to walk past the Space NK Apothecary shops in the King's Road in Chelsea and fight the urge to nip in for a spritz of this. I knew I'd buy it someday, so didn't see why it was shameful for me to try it every so often in the meantime. (That said, I would still split my sampling between the Space NK Apothecary at the Sloane Square end of the King's Road and the one at the World's End...end.)
A couple of Christmases ago, Adriana bought me my own bottle of Soulful, which is still going strong. I always, always get compliments from those who hug and kiss me when I'm wearing it, and it is the one fragrance with which I have never grown weary. If I was as good as Hillary at describing scents, I could try for you. It's not sweet, not musky, not really spicy, and there's a whiff of expensive men's cologne about it, which I always like to have in my nose.
It's just beautiful, wearable, and a scent that makes you feel there is much in life to which one should actively aspire. A joy of a fragrance and one for the Products We Love category.
